The road to the house is a dirt road that is plowed by the local municipality if it snows. It is a lovely road to walk or run (2 miles roundtrip) and we have a path through the forest that's great for a gentle walk. You can walk, or cross-country ski through different towns on the Catskills Scenic Trail. Snow is possible October through April. If you are unfamiliar with driving in snow research tips online.
