Outdoor seating is pet friendly. Doog Goods: 7.6 miles This is just an extremely cool place in Walton. Furniture store run by architects, opening a gallery next door. They also sell bread and snacks sometimes. Must visit for anyone who likes design. Bear Spring Mountain: 9.7 miles Large park/wildlife management area 10 mins from the house. Can swim/boat and hike. Supermarkets/Groceries Eastbrook Community Farm: 4.6 miles Right around the corner from the house, where we get our eggs! Drop by the farm stand for eggs/chicken/produce, they also do tours from time to time. Groceries stores, gas stations, shopping, farmers markets and more are all located with 15 to 20 minutes in Walton, Delhi, Hamden and Oneonta. A vehicle is necessary to get around. There is no or limited Uber or transportation services in the area. In the winter months when snow is likely (October through April) AWD or 4WD is recommended along with all weather or snow tires with good tread. We want your stay to be safe, comfortable, and smooth.
